  • "I opened the box.. the box of Memories,
And in it held the fragments of a beautiful past.
    Made of hopes & dreams..
    and of Love.
Then i closed the box, neither happy nor sad,
only to realise that Life has to go on"

    Many things had happened recently.
Much of which pushed me to my limits.
I had to conquer and supress what i used to feel.
and had to overcome many obstacles as well.
Maybe that's what getting older is about?
Maybe it's about getting stronger & tougher

Friday was a nice time of fellowship too.
It's like the beginning of perhaps the biggest chapter of my life.
I wonder how things will change after that..
But anyway, it's something I've gotta do..
So that i can change the world

Had dinner with dear sweet Valerie too.
The finest defination of what beauty is..
It's in the heart, where one's true nature unfolds.
And in her heart, there was so much softness and care.
Great time having dinner with her!
I wish i had pictures.. but.. haha

And so on Saturday, i went clubbing at Newroom Bar.
Used to go there occassionally, but this time it's a NUS science bash.
And after that day, i think i'll never club again.
I mean it's fun, dancing is good.. but i just don't like it anymore.
Like it's boring now. With my time and money i can do more! haha

Everyone's watching the live match btw Man u and.. and...

    Tarzan and Jane...

    The damn gay guys.. hah

Oh! Chinese New year's round the corner!
Man, didn't get any bright new shirts recently.
But at least I've bought a shirt i like. heh
Check out the "Pussy-Willow" plant we have!

    It looks so soft...

and here's finally a CD of all my songs!
My room was messed up because of all my CDs here and there but now.. It's cool! haha

  • "What if you found the greatest treasure on Earth..
And it was priceless and what You've always prayed for.
But that treasure already belongs to someone...
Though it's not yours, but you get to feel it, and talk to it...
    People may start to murmur..
The owner may start to get upset,
    What would you do?"

I could just render in the sheer gratefulness when I talk to that treasure.
For when I talk to her,
I feel a close unexplained relation that surpasses distance and time.
It keeps me feeling great and at peace whenever I look at the treasure.
Until one day I realised I had to do the most difficult thing..
That is to let go of the treasure because It's for her sake.
Wouldn't that be the greatest thing I'd be able to do?
And yes, the most painful thing I'd have to do...
To give up something of infinite worth because..
You care for the treasure's well-being.
To give up someone who made u feel good because...
Perhaps it'll make her smile better.

Yet Strangely, God sent me a dream last night.
Of a scene where she was singing at church for the children.
And there I was backstage watching a dream in a dream.
And after the song, I turned to her and she smiled to me.
In the most gentlest and beautiful way.
And beyond those eyes looking at me, I could see...
The goodness of God, the grace of God..
And the sheer magnificence of Beauty.
Perhaps one day, I shall see her again.
Perhaps one day, I fulfil that final fantasy at the top of my page.
    Then until that one day..
I shall pray and keep to my promise I made.

Anyway, these days I've been rather upbeat abt stuff too.
Had the chance to see most of the year's most anticipated game exclusives!
Even had the chance to watch a Trailer of the upcoming movie,
    Final Fantasy VII-Advent Children.
It's awesome. Totally CGI, and kept true to the stroyline 2 years after the game.

And another thing, My cousins are safely back in US!
One's already studying while the other's still gunbounding. haha.
Thanks Calvin for the stuff u uploaded.
Here's my performance pic he took! haha...

Man, I was super nervous! haha but it was fun
Was Singing "Pure Dream" at this time i think..
Alas, Sigh.. It was only a dream nothing more.
Comforting thing was a phrase she said in reply...
    "It wasn't a dream. It's real."
    Yeah, It's real man.
And those memories shall live forever together with my promise.

Other exclusives were the release dates and shots of Final Fantasy XII in May.
And of course Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
So here's what I've been mesmorised with so far!

Exclusive screenshot from Final Fantasy X-2:International Vers+last Misison

If my Jap didn't deceive me, i heard there's a new theme song for the game

No, this is not a disney kiddy game. Really. Kingdom Hearts:Chain of Memories

Final Fantasy XII.. talks about 2 great swords and stuff.

The Kingdom of don't know what... haha think it's Balandra.

Final Fantasy XII Logo. Looks kinda traditional..

A Battle Scene in the game. Graphics look great man.

You'd not believe this, but the girl's name is ASHE and the Guy's called VAAN.

Yup! So that's that for now.. wonder what's in store in my upcoming week. heh.

  • "It has been ages since I've updated this.. but now the time has come"

So many things had happened recently.
Many great events too, yet there are some that caused much grief as well.
    But as I have learnt...
There will always be trials and tribulations one have to face.
But we must stand firm.. because in the end, the victory is ours.

Last saturday, I had to report to Pasir Ris for an outcamp run.
Was part of the fatique party setting up stuff and all.
Guess what time I was there? 6.15am man..
Though we were very pissed that we had to be early...
But in the end, it was rather great to watch the sunrise

An expression of rebellion even while the man's sleeping.

It was all Dark and quiet. Then... there was light.

And when the Sun finally rose. I got reminded of the teletubbies. Don't know why.

Yes that's our attire as Road marshalls. And those are NOT Pool sticks.

And finally the end of the event. See all the eligible hunks? haha

And for that evening, I met up with my cousins again.
i had to make the effort to accompany them as often as i can.
    Cause they'll be leaving soon..
And before I knew it, I'm already hoping they won't go back
So the family brought them to Chinatown for Dinner!
Man, the food there is Fantabulous!!!

one must be enduring to come here. pple spit like no one's business.

That's the my cousins and their Mum... at their neutral state. hahha

And so after a great Dinner at our usual stall,
We took a stroll down Chinatown to check our the festivity!
    Thankfully it ain't that crowded..
But it was great fun just telling them that the bushy cottonny plant
is called a "Pussy Willow". heh..

Chinatown when it's "less crowded". Seriously.

Ah me and my dear Cousin bro and sis. They're so.. cute!

"Is that Ba Gua? Or is that Ba Gua?"

The next day, we went to cineleisure!
Where we decided to shop for Sunshades
Michelle and I wanted to get stuff to make us look like stars.
And so we did! And while we're at it,
We influenced Paul and Calvin to get a pair too!
Heh.. it's silly but hey, it's fun

"Pick up my Sis, and realise the meaning of pain"

Soon after we got our stuff, we went to Dhobby Gaut.
That's where we made our way to PS
because Nicole wanted to watch a movie from GV.
Even at the station, I was busy snapping away!
    Photography: Priceless.
There are some things that money just can't buy.
For everything else, there's mastercard. LOL

Violent Scene here. For mature audiences only...

    "The fall of a... of a.. Paul-pal"

Introducing the new fashion statement by the Trippy Trio,
    Sunshades galore!

    Size does matter huh? hahaha

Enter the Matrix Man... Dang i love those shades

And so we went to PS only to return back to Cine,
Because we decided to go bowl at Cathay.
Anyway, while we were there, I saw the cutest things in the world.

Dejavou with the Sesame Street Gang.

Anyway we proceeded to Cathay Bowling alley..
Where we'd pit our skills with the balls,
Where we'd take crazy pictures and learn sea-dances..
Where we had the deejay to come over to play games.
And we had a great time there!

Nicole doing her matrix stunt. I couldn't even see the ball roll,
And in a blink of an eye, all the pins were down. heh..

    Calvin's pants were dropping.
    Let's salute our brave hero/heroine
for saving mankind from a potential catastrophe.

"She's mine.. my precious.. my Love.."

    Ooo Wow... the ball gloooows..

The next day, after church... we went out together one last time.
Because that was the last sunday I'd spend my time with them.
They're leaving on Tuesday, and I've got overnight duty at camp on mon.
I wish they need not go back to the states...
But none the less, we went out for Dinner at hard Rock Cafe,
Where we chatted about stuff, careers and our endeavours.
It was the greatest time of fellowship we had.
Just simply laughing joking around and talking bout stuff.

Watching Soccer Live while eating... Typical.

Paul's actually Agent Smith. Calvin watches on in fear..

We're happy we got our food. Very Happy

Though even as I type this they're on their plane back home,
I really really do Miss them much.
On that day where I saw them off in their hotel..
I braced Michelle tightly, and gave my cousin a pat on the back.

These 2 dear cousins of mine had grown up.
And they have become great people of enormous potential.
    Sometimes mistakenly labelled or stereotyped,
These 2 Angels are not typical Americans.
Neither are they synonymous with the words havoc, wild or immoral.
They have grown up to be fine young men and women of great moral righteousness.
I have been greatly blessed to see my cousins grow up to be sensible.
And I will always be praying for them.

Many people believe that what is normal in Society is acceptable.
Alas, the things that are deemed normal are not always morally upright.
If my cousins did not have a mind of their own,
If God did not watch over them.. then yes,
They may have already been corrupted..
They may have already think drugs was fine,
Or that Sex is just a form of enjoyment.
    But they are not.
    Ladies and gentlemen,
My cousins are sons and daughters of the Most High.
And for that I'm proud to be their elder Cousin.

  • "The Grand year comes to and end, only to welcome the year of blessing for men"

If someone asked you," How was your year?"
    What would you say?
I would simply take the memories I hold dear to me,
Put them together and piece it as one big picture...
One big picture that i can carry onto the Next year..
and the next.. and the next...

I'm sorry if your picture isn't up.. cause it's most probably..
I don't have pictures of you to begin with!
Fear not though.. for we'll have 2004 to spend together in.
For me it is a year of Blessings to come..
For freedom, a new frontier and maybe for Love..
None the less to all reading this.. Happy New Year!

  • Which game in Singapore requires Precision, Accuracy and Judgement?
Which game has taken Singaporeans of ALL ages by storm?
Created in Korea brought to the world by Technology i introduce to you..

Ain't it Cute? The ironic part is...
It's not a cutesy game that requires no brains..
Anyway, it's got me hooked and all my friends are playing it!

See that's me! On a Turtle "Mobile".
U get to earn money to buy stuff in the game.
Not just for show, but to boost one's Status like attack and stuff..

And not surprisingly, Many girls play too..
Most from USA, Germany, France and Singapore... wierd.

That's me in the game in action! hahah.. it's mostly Projectile Physics.
If u want u can actually resolve the x-y components along with the wind forces..

    ..... nevermind...

And yesterday last night, I had a little party!
Well kind of. No it's not those happening types,
Or one held at my place with food and games..
On the contrary it was at K-star! A Karoke Lounge.
Gotten a free voucher for it from 77th street.
Problem was, it was a sleazy place. Ugh..
and Pamela gave me THE look when she saw it. haha

But still, we had a good time just singing away,
Occassionally snacking and chatting with old buddies..
There was "Ang-eh" as what ACS barker boys of 4A1 would call him by,
Then there's "Ah-Giu" the legendary Guitarist that awed everyone..
And then my Dynamic Duo Paul & Jerry (with Sidekick Jane)...
Lovely Eve who carries her sweetness everywhere she goes to,
My lovely cousins from the States who bicker abt the tiniest things..
And of course Star-studded Nicole and friends..

Anyway we had a great time!
After that we went to check out Nic's friend's pub too..
    Anyway enjoy the pictures! lol...

Paul and my younger couz bro discussing on plans to dominate the world.

Elizabeth - aspiring Student Leader for ACJC (Rockon!), along with Jermaine and... and... That awe-striking Nicole. Mesmorizing...

Is she Drunk? That's my cousin Sister who's gasp.. 14???

Damn Gay guy.. haha there's Jane, Tarzan's Sidekick and pple hidden behind the guit. lol

And then there's Eve.. the Nice one. haha

  • It's been ages since i went to New creation Church.
And i tell you the queue remains the same yersterday, today and forever! haha..

Ther sermon was awwsome. Pastor Prince always freshens me up.
Did you know that Jesus died on a tree? With a plank put horizontally across?
Making it a "Cross"? And there's a reason why he died that way..
Yes it's his death that saves mankind of eternal sin and suffering..
But why did he die that way? Did you ever wonder? hehe..

And after service, it was time to have an early dinner to prepare for the concert.
Sounds so grand huh? "Concert".. or "Performance"...
Whatever it is, though it ain't a big deal, singing on stage is fun!
And though not everyone who came to support me on friday came..
There were those whom i've not seen for ages!

And of course there are those who'd support me anyway if my performance is everyday...

Bruda Jerry couldn't make it though.. hahaha.. but it's ok.
And finally the time came to perform.
I thought i didn't do too well tho my friends say i was great...
But none the less it was a grea experience.

It was hot on stage.. and i really got nervous and all.
And hearing dear Jaslyn scream for me pressured me more!
I started to sing and... *disaster*
I can't seem to sing normally, and the feedback was too muffled!
Couldn't concentrate on my diction and posture too.
For a moment, i forgotten all the stuff I've learnt about singing..

But before long (towards the end) i gotten used to it.
By then, i reached the last chorus of "God Sent"..
Though it was ending soon, I was glad that i've gotten my form back.
At least i didn't screw up entirely! haha..
Really enjoyed my time there, cousins and friends taking pictures..
I feel like a Star! pple watching me... and best of all
Hearing my Voice Echo throughout Orchard Park for a brief moment.

I wonder.. "Will i ever get to sing like this again?
I want to have the chance to give the best performance i can give"
After singing, I realised i wanted more.
I couldn't let my last performance be just like that.
If i could have it again, i'd make the next one Perfect.
Maybe God will grant me the chance again...

Dang my camera couldn't zoom that far.
My cousin's gotten really really nice pictures of me on stage.
When he puts it on Xanga, I'll put it up ya? hehe..

  • "There are somethings that are meant to be...
    For Everything else? There's Mastercard"

Oh Oh Oh.. the last few days were great!
Most of the time I was in the company of my Cousins and my brudas.
Rather wierd though, usually every year for Xmas,
I'd be doing something cool or be partying somewhere everywhere.
This year's Christmas was quiet... but with a touch of warmth.
Just as how Billy Mack from "Love Actually" said...
It's more impt to be with the pple you love..
And undeniably to remember that Our Saviour had come on Earth.
And just thinking about that is Beautiful.
Without Him I wouldn't even be typing this.. Thank you God

When I woke up on Christmas day,
I took my Presents and went to Orchard Road Presbytarian Church
Hoping to catch and find someone of great importance.
Alas, as drama as it may be, I was too late.
That was the last chance I had to find that person.
I lingered on not knowing what to do..
And the Final desperate resort would be to contact her closest friends.
    But.. that failed too. Sighz.

Then later I went to tower records...
To pass my minus one Track for the performance on Friday.
And it was there they held the "TalentQuest 2004" auditions!
Man there were a few of them who were great singers.
Some had lotsa style but lacked the substance..
But it's always something great to dare to try for stuff like that.
Sadly though, most of the songs were Chinese!
And none were original creations... Oh well.

Then we met "Shag" my old time friend..
And together, we walked the talk and went to Calvin's Hotel!
It was nice.. never been to Royal Hotel in Orchard before.
Been to the other ones in singapore because of free stuff..
but Hotel Royal was nonetheless cool man.

The day didn't end with a bang though.. but it was good
We talked about typical Guy stuff.
While Paul poured his share of his problems...
I was also in a fix because of girls.
Ok not really a fix.. but maybe just a little confused.

Then came the 26th of December..

    My friends.. they had come.
Think there were many more on their way,
but they couldn't find the place.
Either that or they came too early as the Performance was delayed.
And what a surprise! Didn't expect "gui" to come.

The Talented Guitarist and old friend Henry..

I looked to the stage and it was wet and quiet.
I picture myself Singing a song in front of an Audience.
"Would i be heard? Will she be there?"
In the middle of Orchard Park I stood against the wind of fear,
Ready yet doubtful of what is to come..
"Will she be there to listen to me?"

Then it started to rain. Ugh.

Though i had not the chance to sing.
It shall be fulfiled on Sunday once more at the same time.
To all my friends who came to support me.. I thank you.
It's always such a joy to be around the company of such honourable pple.
Thank you so much! One day.. U won't have to watch me perform.
I'll just send all of you my CD. hahaha

Rachel, Olivia, Michelle, Huiling, Alexis, Samantha, Erika, Vivian, Jane, Jerry, Paul, my cousins Calvin and Michelle, My parents, Aunt Jenny, Jesmine, Aiqi, Jolene and to all who mean to come but were held up by the rain/traffic hahaha Valerie..

  • "My Friends... you bow to no one"

Sorry, went out of point but... I just love the Return of the King!

The last week has been good i guess.
Many great happenings took place amidst peculiar encounters too.
I'll start it of with OC Evening at Sembawang Country Club.
My company (Maint.Coy in Sel Camp) dedicated a wholed day of fun to NSFs.
We played a game much like the Amazing Race in the morning,
Which made us discover much more abt the history of Seletar Camp.
It was great fun and a wonderful experience!!!
And in the evening we had a wonderful dinner.
The Food was increadible. Seriously. It really surpasses any expectations i had.
Here's a scene of where we were!

And finally after the night ended,
I went on to complete Project "N".
Was so happy that I finally had the motivation to create something.
I mean, Project N is a classified creation cum Xmas Present for someone
It took much time, and initiative but I finally completed it!
See the mess it left on my table?

And the highlight of this week was the Return of The Cousins!
My dearest cousins from the states are back in singapore..
It's been rather long since I've seen them.
    Calvin's 2 years younger than me while Michelle's 14.
Now as you see the pictures.. do try to believe that she's 14.
hahaha... we had fun at Swensens too,
Together with my brudas of course..

That's Calvin.. showing off his...tongue? haha

Paul, Michelle and Jerry. Michelle's 1.73m ladies and gentlemen.

Jerry made me laugh. That idiot. haha..

"I wonder if i could take a picture of myself?" *click click*

And so we had a quick "dinner" at MOS burgers,
before we sent my cousins back to their hotel.
    "Come brudas," I said..
"The Return of the King awaits us"
I tell you that show was AWWWsome.
Of all the 3 I've watched this is the bestest.
    The Hobbitses were funny too.
The CG was greatsies as well.. heh

I remembered going to the bathroom before the movie started.
Alas, my bladder calls out to me in the midst of the movie.
As if it were going to explode, I was witnessing the climax of the movie.
The pain of choice comes before me.
Watch on, or fly to the toilet.
The answer was obvious... Watch on. lol
And 3.5 hours later, I dashed to the loo
and a sigh of relief echoes through the walls of the toilet in Plaza Singapura.

After which, it's the same old supper place the brudas would go to.
Edo Sushi of Selegie road become second nature to where we'd have supper.
We went on laughing, crapping and talking bout everything.
from the movie, to ethics, to Hilarious Gatsby advertisements.

this guy's funny. U should see the Gatsby ads.

And so Each of us the brudas tried to imitate his look in that ad.
The one where he sings a song about hair and life and Gatsby. haha.. gosh...
Anyways, that's that! There's something big happening in my life right now too..
Or at least, it's really special to me..
Perhaps when the time is right, I won't have to say anything,
    and everyone would know..

  • "It has been so long since I've written
And it's not as if I don't wish to.
    Somethings happen beond my control.
    Some are fair or evil.
And so now you shall know..
Another Chapter of My life unfolds"

I've seen many pairs of Eyes.
And till now, I believe they are the windows to one's souls.
Some may seem sly or crafty, yet there are some that are pure beauty.
I won't deny that some girls I know have captivated me with them
But honestly there had only been one pair of eyes...
That can make me see the universe through them.

She was someone I knew when I was young.
I never understood why someone like her was taking care of me.
Early mornings began with hotdogs and Scrambled Eggs
And Before the night ended, I'd have to cry to say goodbye.
The first day I left for kindergarten, I held onto her leg not letting go.
Because I always just love being around her.

I've said these words before,"You're so beautiful"
But none can compare to the beauty I see in her.
She's the most beautiful woman I've ever known.
The one woman I'd want to live with and take care of.
I never knew what love was, till she loved me.
And because she loved me, I'm who I am today.
When I was weak and young she was my strength.
Now I want to be her strength while she is weak.

Just now, I looked into her eyes again at TTSH
And for 15 mins I said nothing, but to look in those eyes.
I saw a sparkle and glimmer of nothing I've ever seen.
As if I could see planets, constellations and the heavens in them.
Watching them softens me, reminds me of a love i feel.
And as she held my hand, I didn't want to let go.

Those eyes belongs to my Grandma.

She's waiting to get an operation done on her hip
Apparantly, she fractured it and is causing much pain.
I wish I had the power to heal her.
I will pray and she shall be fine.
It struck me that, I was a bastard.
I had all the time to tell her and show her how much i love her
But I had to wait for such painful times to tell her that?
People always make this mistake. Though plain and common.
Don't take things that God's given you for granted.
I'm not saying something bad's going to happen,
but I wish I could have been there for her earlier as much as I could.

And so I will be there for her before her op.
I place my complete Trust in the Lord that she'll be fine.
And for those of you reading this...
Remember to appreciate the big and little things God gave you.
It could be the french fries you had at Mcdonald's
Or that guy/girl who had a crush on you.
Maybe it's the hand you held closely and dearly yesterday
Or simply the Pillow that has the scent of your hair.
Whatever it is, Remember to Thank God
