  • Its been so long. Thing have changed.
    Rabbits, Physics everything's insane.
I would update if not for my work,
and if not for my formatted coms,
I would have added the pics.
This is just improptu, saying this blog's still alive...
Until i finish those damn reports, shall i return to this blog.

  • "For those 15 rounds or more, I am free.

After the matches end i return to reality.

Only to be awaken to dreaded tutorials and lab reports,

Vector analysis, Schrodinger and what's not.

The end of the Grand competition is not an end,

instead its there we learn to make amends.

The spirit of gaming shall not die,

The the back dated mentalities of men, I shall defy"

The biggest gaming event of the year,
is said to be the World Cyber Games 2005 competition.
Held in Singapore for the first time, the gaming community responds in zeal.
And likewise, I've risen up to the challenge to participate in this grand event.
And looking back, the experience was a wonderful one to appreciate.
Once we registered for WCG2005, training became intense.
Every saturday I'd be at Headquarters training with the top clans in Singapore

And most of the time, I'm wearing the NUS shirt.

We were even invited by Singapore's expected top team to join boot camps.
And boot camps, were seriously no joke.
From 10pm to 10am, we played against reputable teams...
pitting our skills, trying to learn from one another.

There's Chisern (my ACJC classmate) talking bout stratedgy

    Aside from cybercafe registrations,
WCG05 left no tables unturned in finding the potential team of gamers
to represent Singapore for the Grand Finals in Nov.
They went to every sec school, JC and of course Tertiary institute...
Eventually, the last of the lot they came to was NUS
And though I would be participating in the National Finals,
I made a "non-local team" just to win some prizes for the iPLAY@NUS event.

So I gathered the legendary players of NUS, and formed...

    the NUS Dream Team, [N]dT.

Having 4 competitive players in NdT meant that it was truely the dream team.
And most of the participants were the same group of people we played in
last year's NUS CS competition event and it was now our chance to show
    what we're made of.
The first match, against a China team used to be evenly matched with my previous team.
This time while we've grown much stronger, their standards are pretty much the same.
    The score was 16-nil.
Second match was against FOD (Frag or Die), NUS's PRC strong CS team.
Well, they did better. The score was 16-1

    The closing ceremony for iPLAY@NUS

And so we won the United Nations Champion.
    But we didnt stop there.
We decided to pit a friendly match against the local team champions..
Because my team was not "pure singaporeans,"
we couldnt represent NUS for the WCG2005
So we played a friendly match.
    They did better.
    The score was 16-4.
And so the event ended, with me taking the prize....
which was supposed to be $200 in case.
I opened the envelope to find.. nothing! Grrrr
Well, no worries, we'll be getting the money soon.

So finally as time slipped away, in the midst of my Physics calculations,
The 8th of September came - The opening ceremony of WCG2005 at Suntec city.
Strange to see a Lion Dance in a convention hall.
And even more surprising to find models in skimpy attires when its freezing cold.
In the end, the ceremony was mainly for the spectators,
while the participants had to collect their goodie bags.

    The Opening Ceremony

We took a good look around while waiting,
And we were enriched by the atmosphere there.
It was so.. exciting! Singapore hosting the World Cyber Games Tournament!
It was quite a grand sight... never seen so many PCs lined up together,
neither have I witnessed so many Xboxes everywhere at one place before.

Big place, Big Event, Big Ball

Well in the end, we collected our goodie bag,
And it was a good goodie bag.
There were PCmagizines, Logitech wristbands, Nikon towel, Creative
Shirt, WCG T-shirt and of course most importantly, the WCG PLayer Pass.
And while most teams get just one set of everything, we had an extra set of shirts!
And the best thing of all just had to be the pass.
Marshals had Red transparent ones, while staff of Rapture gaming had transparent ones.
There are even passes for the Media and such...

Yeah that's the shirt and the pass. heh

And so the opening ceremony and collection of goodie bag ends.
Only to open up towards a new tomorrow where the preliminaries will be held.

So at 9am, I had to miss my most favourtie lecture of Quantum mechanics,
just to get drive and navigate my way to the convention centre for the match at 11am.
Parking was a breeze, and when we all met up there,
there was a tense atmosphere in the air...
Anyway our clan jacket fulfilled its purpose with the freezing temperature.
We inspected the computers we'll be playing on,
and we quite relieved that they increased the performance of the computers.
Though there was some problem with the LAN connections, we still had smooth games.

"damn should've just went for the lecture and come late"

The whole stretch of black clothing, is the Barrucuda Juggernaut mousepad.

In the Heat of the battle, a match against WWL.

In the end we didn't win our opponents,
but we learnt alot from them.
As the leader, I must say that the teamwork was incredible,
and that our level of gaming has reached new heights.
The only reason why i think we lost was probably because,
    we lacked the firepower.
So that's a goodbye to our chance at the Grand Finals this year,
but that wont deter us to become better and try again next year.
Cheers to Xtreme Chaotix for putting the good fight!

Bye WCG2005, I'll be back at the National Finals to do coverage though. heh

Back to reality, my life is about Physics.
Left in a realm that demands calculations and thinking,
I'm already dying in this pool of oil.
I do like our Quantum mechanics lecturer though..
He who taught us the basis for QM said, "Shut up and calculate"
It made sense after a while, since we realized it was impossbile to visualize QM.
But it was always fun to be in his lecture.
Alas, after th jokes and the lively atmosphere, we're left in absolute confusion.
Here are the poor souls who have joined me in the black hole.
Going to a place of no return, they are my dear Physics friends.

Mr. Mark Wong. We like Initial D! He's got the car, I've got the anime.

Mr. Junyi. We like the piano/drums/guit! I've got the questions, he has the answers

Miss Andrielle Lee. We like Christian songs! She stays awake, while I stay asleep.

Mr Zhi Hao. We like KTV! He gets the results quick, I make fake results sleek.

Mr Frankie. We like Singing! He sings christian songs, I compose new songs.

Mr Wei Keong, aka BOSS. We like Sports!
He f#%@s his NS men, I f#%@ my CS teammates.

And so my journey towards enlightenment is not alone.
I stand by these great wonderful people, who have made my Physics life lively.
For without these people, I would not be able to survive till now.
Thank god for u guys and gal dudes.

  • "So many things happening around me,
Some of them too fast and untimely for me to appreciate,
Others leaving me tensed and anxious.
These years had passed as I looked back,
And my my what wonderful memories I hold in me"

Joanne told me to go watch Kelly at Superstar.
Cailing and Joanne told me to go next time, i couldn't.
Then Kelly told me she reserved 2 VIP tickets for me at the grand finals.
And in the end, I'm not able to go...
How come these competitions are always at such untimely instances?
    In any case, this girl...
Once my teacher, then my friend, later my love interest,
    and finally now Singapore's Superstar.
Wonder how far she can far she can fly....

    The 2 superstars.

Now I can earn part time money

from asking Kelly to sign autographs for me to sell.

There was a time I thought that way,
finding an answer to the questions i posed to myself...
"Why do I make the songs that I sing?"
Perhaps I just wanted to be better, and maybe the best...
Then why is it I lost my drive to sing again at showcases or recordings?
Is it because I didnt want the attention as a singer?
The answer is a resounding yes. And of course I dont want my privacy invaded.
But more importantly, the songs I made are special because they are secret.
The module I'm taking, PC 1327 says that Music is actually all about performing.
That the listener is the person who is the objective.
Thankfully, for me I am the one enjoying the song when I sing or play,
because each time I sang, I see this beautiful movie of my life experience in my mind.
And something as beautiful as that, should never lose its meaning

    But
recently I've been singing again, sometimes I feel like I'm on the
stage, but I'm merely in the KTV room with friends of my dear. But
gradually I realized what's more important.. that is to sing to who you
meant the song is for. Don't think it's the same singing a song for my
dear, and singing it again at KTV. But not singing consistently has
left me rusty... I can hear the
mistakes I used to always make. My vocal control has weakened...I think
the passion to sing will burn once more, but maybe it'll be for a
different reason...And that is to simply, be better than I can ever
be... to reach my limit and to make the songs I once made.. Perfect.
Darn I've gotta get my guitar to my room in PGP asap... I think I feel
alot of lost songs coming back to me! Going to make the effort to
remake my songs for the sake of myself and to those I promised!

YEAR II SEMESTER I : The Beginning of a new Era

    The National University of Singapore.
The place where scholars abound where studious students are at,
and in this BIG BIG collection of geniuses,
There lies one guy that defies all odds...
Spending his time watching Initial D, organising his clan and trying to catch up with work.
Damn la. Being a Year II Student is no joke.
Especially when I'm introduced to the world of Quantum leaps and probabilities,
in a world where the subject i once hated, Chemistry, is related to Biophysics,
In a world where you spend 2 weeks on ONE Lab experiment,
And that's exactly where you realize that all the apparatus is faulty.
You survived the first year of Physics Reuben, now try to survive again.

The pains of using a small Circuit connector board

The Gang: Wei Keong, Frankie, Zhihao, Mark..
Junyi and Andrielle was doing the Mechanics expt.

Doesnt really help when our lecturers zooooooooom.
Mathematical Methods became Quantumly Fuzzy when he starts to speed.
Kinda liked his step by step introduction into equationas..
but he has a bad habit of zoooming 1 whole lecture into 10 mins.
Told my senior Dr. Li Baowen's my lectuere.
The honour's student replied, " Good luck. Couln't understand a thing. I flunked"
The same guy who i regarded as a "shen" flunkced this module.
I sense a disturbance in the force. ugh..

My dear, the Beauty my Bunny

It's been how long now? Almost a year!
And soon I'll be initiating "Project R"
Have loads of things that I've gotta settle...
But with the load of stuff I've got, hope I can pull it off.
My mum's been telling my about getting married and stuff,
And her mum's been saying its great that she doesnt have to worry about my dear now.
The talk about marriage brings nostalgia.
Once upon a time I thought of marrying my ex gf...
but in the end things didn't really turn out well...
The strange thing is this relationship feels... different.
Different in a good way, in a way that I know what the outcome will be.
And it shall be good. Such that there's no need to rush anything,
And everything shall unfold itself in due time.
Finally i can see what God's doing...

    a balloon for my dear.

Lasted less than a day cause her rabbit bit it.

and she loves to drag me to the Supermarket to shop.

Well I'm sure the days ahead will be great.
Wonder what I'll be doing later.
    Wait I know the answer...
Without my PS2, Guitar & TV in my hostel room in PGP,
There's only one thing I can do.
Do my QM tutorial, MM tutorial, read the SOM book and research on RC-circuits
Well there IS something I can look forward though.

NUS iPLAY. My NUS Dream Team will be competiting tomorrow.
My goal, to win the prizes, and show no mercy to the other NUS Teams.
Speaking of which, I also wrote an article for Aspire, the E publication for NUS.
Must remember this link for my keepsake.
    http://www.nussu.org/zine5/?a=470
And so, I shall rest and with my Viper, Barracuda and Senheisser,
The NUS Dream Team, [N]dT shall frag all and win all.

  • "We talked about the deep things,

    The shallow things,

    and almost all things.

And suddenly in an effort to explain why we love each other the way we do,

Two sentences spawned in my little hollow head.

There's no way to change the  person you love,

But you can change the way you love the person.

I felt amazed by myself for coming up with this philosophy.

I doctored it, the first of Reuben's random thoughts."

    We
went to the petshop near by, petstation they called it. And it was time
after all for me to get a new cagee for Yuri. I didn't look that big
when it was not assembled. But realized its double the size of the
preivous cage. Anyway, its so convenient! I can clear the litter easily
now, and this cage is so cool!
Like a little condo for a growing dwarf rabbit. And yes it cost me a bomb. Not that big, but still bombed.

Thank you dear's mum! For the wonderful little house thingie Uncle did for Yuri, Shimi and Chomi!
It's so tough and durable, and they love playing with the mini house. A
little ladder to climb, holes to peek through and fine hard wood for
them to nibble on. Also made connections with the "Rabbit Uncle" the
guy who supplies rabbits to pet shops in Singapore! heh next time can
get huge discount for my next rabbit!

Followed dear to Jurong Point today, Just to check out books and stuff.
It's horrendously crowded. Don't know why... but bad.
Managed to find the Petshop the Rabbit Uncle told us about,
but to our disappointment the rabbits there didnt look very nice.
I mean they were nice, but not nice enough haha...
And so we went to the library to do stuff,
And while she was sped off to her Programming side,
    I saw a Physics Section.
Found a book that would prove useful to me. hee.
and then i saw the arts section. Realized my interest lies mainly in the arts...
Went to the counter to borrow the books...
Error, please go to the counter.
"OMG, could it be because its my FIRST TIME borrowing books?"

Anyway managed to borrow them. haha

And then there was Mr Albert Einstein.
I stumbled upon a book in Borders while looking around.
And though its for dummies like me,
after reading it... i was utterly impressed with the vast knowledge it provided.
Contrary to what it may sound, its not very mathematical,
Instead it explains the whole history of Physics.
Whether an apple truely dropped on Newton's head,
Or whether feathers and stones were dropped from the leaning tower of Pisa,
Or whether time could be reversible or not.
This is a book for all the bold and curious alike,
and damn they should pay me for this advertisement.

An awesome book with minimal math

  • Let the Page Load for the song

I decided to blog this entry because...

I want to remind myself and to those who read this that...
"The One to question is a fool for 5 mins, The one who doesnt is a fool forever"

I was at the MRT yesterday with my dear,
Sending her back after a great meal of Tepanyaki at Sakae Sushi at the Airport...
There as we went into the train, I saw a CPU in the middle of the train.
A whole computer system, just the CPU unit left all alone in the middle of the train.
Looking around, there were 3 people who would seem to be the owner.
First, The woman sitting closest to it, middle aged minding her own business.
Two, The woman standing in front of us, facing our direction but away from the CPU
Three, 2 kids who were acting gayish giving me wierd looks (or prob directed at dear)
The strange thing was it was in the Middle of the train....

So I began my own thought analysis.
If I were someone who brought my CPU for servicing and I'm heading home on the train,
I would most likely find a seat, place it between my legs or near me so that i could hold it.
If i did not have a seat, I would stand near it, leaving it resting supported against the side.
Would it be wise to leave it in the middle of the train while keeping an eye on it?
Physics tells me there's an uncertainty in its stability since people are coming in and out,
further more the CPU is heavy, leaving it subceptible to damage if it were to fall.
After thinking through, it felt extremely wierd for this scenario.
So ok is there a possibility that this CPU could be a suspicious item?
Considering the train left from Changi Airport and was heading towards Raffles Place,
Considering that no one seems to be looking after it or claiming ownership,
Considering that its a CPU seemingly on the outside....
In my mind, there is a possibility that this IS a suspicious item.
Or maybe I'm just thinking too much.

I told my dear about it, and she laughed.
And I thought to myself hmmm, maybe I shouldnt bother since its just a CPU.
I looked around, thinking "ah no one seems to bother. Maybe its just a CPU after all"
Or maybe i was the only one who things its wierd that a CPU should be left unattended.
I could have forgotten about it, and pretended it's alright.
Even though the reminder on the train was to report suspicious articles...
And perhaps, just perhaps someone else would find it suspicious and ask about it.
Then i wouldnt have to embarass myself if my assumptions were wrong.
But if I didn't find out who would?
If no one dared to ask, or to make a fool of themselves, are we going to be safe for sure?

So I went over to the woman closest to the CPU and asked,
"Excuse me, does this CPU belong to you?"
    She said nope.
then she pointed to the 2 kids.
    "So this is yours?"
    The kid nodded.
Either he thought I was gay too and i was making a move on him,
or he just thought I was stupid.

Ok so I seemed a little wierd asking whether this CPU belongs to anyone.
Heck, people could think I would try to take it away.
But you know, though people may think its embarrassing or wierd,
I feel better clearing my doubts.
Maybe Singaporeans are too afraid to make a fool of themselves...
At least I for one am sure to not be afraid to be that fool...
Because my family and loved ones are near me and in this country,
And I must do what I can to protect them,

As a vigilent citizen of Singapore.
(Notice I did not use the term soldier damn army. ugh)

"Riddles are here Riddles are there,

my work is done in Science everywhere.

Wonder how they fare, how they shall overcome,

the encoded secrets in my puzzles i've done.

Alas fun, freedom and time will expire,

with the dawning of the brand new semester.

Quantum Mechanics, Maths Method and Biophysics too,

all these things could bring me to my doom.

Passion in CS:S in music and movie making,

wont have the time in completing,

the many things i once set out to do,

Now remain again the things I wish I could do.

Yet this holiday does not seem worthless or redundant,

For within these 3 months, there are many things I've done.

Appreciating God's beauty and the things he's given me,

I can truely say there shall be better things to come"

Recently went back to Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road),
to Train the school team for their World Cyber games Inter-school competition.
Feels wierd that I went back as a "coach" in "Counter-strike" in my old secondery school.
But it was great to see all our donation drives amounting to such a grand place.
The school looks too different to remind me of ACS barker in older days.
Perhaps the only thing that reminded me of the same place was the fact that,
The vast carpark was once home to Soccer Havoc.
Went to see the staff list and I recognised the teachers that influenced me.
Miss Ving, now the HOD of Mathematics... thought me F math while i was doing A math.
Mr Melvin Sim, now HOD of Science, brought my 35/100 grade to 95/100 years ago.
Mr John Choo, HOD of Geog, failed everytest he gave me, got a B3 for geog in O levels.
Mr Timothy Wong, HOD of Bio, I dropped Bio back then.
and of course, Mr Eng Ng Chin, Principal and friend of ACS Barker.
The guy who helped me get a place into ACJC.

A poster I saw in the school. So cool...

Been going to dear's home very often Always go there to see Shimi and Chomi or to sing free KTV.
her parents are always so nice to me! in fact, her Dad was the guy who made all the custom jackets for my clan.
and the end product looks so cool! Her mum's always giving
me  herbal drinks to drink. Just like my mother too. Seems like
they have some things in common. But its great to be around them. Can
feel a sense of homely love in the atmosphere.
And just last night, her mum brought me alot of stuff from her return from Malaysia!
Chocolate biscuits, Mooncakes, pastaries and even a new home for Yuri!
Too big for the cage though. So i've gotta go get a new Cage for Yuri too.

And here's dear's back. Think this pic's cool...

And here's the Jacket her Dad did for us.
    It's incredibly durable and comfortable.
Made of excellent quality Material I would say

The symbol and shape you see is the symbol of Chaos, and the letter's X and t and C make up the clan name, Xtreme ChaotiX!

Well it looks cool and good enough. heh...

Thanks to your dad and Carmin Pte.Ltmd dear!

Cost quite cheap relative to other places too!

And perhaps we could use the same mould,

to make T shirts for our clan next time too.

For now, its just great that the LAN team,

    has this jacket to wear.

we'll need it... WCG finals is going to be very,

    VERY cold. ugh

Oh well and when the semester starts not sure If i'll be staying in hostel.

applied for PGP again, but they've put me on the waiting list.

Haiz, God! Grant me a place when there's no place!

Use the simple to confound the mighty father!

I believe in you and put my faith in Christ who is IN me. Amen..

  • "Singapore's such a different place,

Walking alongside someone precious someone dear.

    Doing different things, doing anything,

feels like I'm doing everything when we're doing nothing.

I look forward to the next time I shall see you again,

and the next the next and thereafter forever"

This week had been so exciting!
Did Calafare for Wong Li Lin's movie Leap of Love.
Learned Salsa there too for free!
Had to dance with my dear pretending to be the friends of the bride and groom.
They gave her a dress to wear, and gave my a CK love sleeve shirt thingie.
It was green. I was the only person with GAY GREEN.
But, oh well the director makes the decisions.
Went to other places with my dear...
Suddenly feel like a tourist going on a free and easy trip in singapore!
Maybe I should try to hang out around Bedok rather than serangoon gardens..
They have loads of stuff there!
Went to try the supposedly best Laksa in Singapore at..
    i forget where....
And the famous Beach Road Prawn Mee shop too!
We also brought her to Killeney's Kopitiam,
and we just had fun trying all sorts of food!
Think next up it's Eunos's Bak Kut Teh.

Going to hear place is cool.
got to see Shimi alot..She's not as aggressive as Yuri though.
At least her nails aint as sharp as Yuri's.
But she's still cute and fluffy!
Like a mixed breed of Cotton Candy and a Dog!
The result, you get Shimi the lionhead bunny!
She's more obedient than Yuri i think..
Yuri's naughty, pissed on me at 7am on my bed.

That's Shimi! so white and fluffy!

    That's Yuri Slacking! Shimi's Senior..

And Since I was at her place more often now,
We went to East Coast Park to get my rollerblades!
It's such a nice place.. Perfect for couples and friends to chill!
So I got my blades at a cheap price and the guy threw in free socks for me too...
Blades cost $160, Straip cost $10, Socks = free.
the blade were $189, but he gave me a discount before i could even ask!
Moral of the story: Go east coast to get blade stuff.

Looks quite good too... hee, 78mm wheels light frame

And that's me enjoying the breeze, while my dear plays with my DVC.

    Eventually, I was tired out.
I thought its going to be a slow, couple talk blading session.
Damn, in the end had to catch up with her pace.
Should've worn something more appropriate for exercise!
but it was nice in the end.. hee.
    We went KTV too!
Inspired after our internal KTV session at her place with her sister... haha

Brought the DVC! Recorded our mini MTVs!!!
Wait for the page to load to hear a preview. haha

Last night was our SCAMP Video/Outing!
Can't believe Boss things that I dont' miss them.
So cruel. I do ok... basket...
Well it was wonderful being together again.
felt like it was SCAMP! minus the 2 guys...
But i had great fun playing as The Barbie Doll Ken guy,
when all of them tried to dress me up...
Boss said,"You're doing God injustice not dressing up to ur looks"
Maybe she's right to some extent.
But, being in school there's no real need to look that good right?
    right?
hahahaha... well we had marche and stuff talked it out had alot of fun..
lol.... miss you peeps la! haha...
I want my pics! and the funny cheer u guys made me do. ugh...

  • "We fought hard, trained hard and went to it.

Though we lost we didnt seem to lose all.

A 4th placing shows where we stand,

and we understand that we must learn more to conquer all.

Watching our opponents use pure skill or tactics,

I was bewildered, and realized there's much to learn.

But this will not mark the end,

It's just the beginning for Xtreme ChaotiX"

It's the End of the World Cyber Games Cybercafe finals.
And we fought valiantly against 8ix and SMR.
2 incredible teams with very humble people.
Alas, we emerged 4th in the Cybercafe segment,
but we will join once more in the Singapore Open soon.
But it was such a wonderful experience, to shiver in a huge place,
to feel the pressure when people watch how you play,
And to be careful to abide to the rules while marshallers stalk your back.
Counter-strike: Source is not just a leisure game...
Gaming in singapore is now a sport.

Many weeks ago, we climbed our way to qualify into the WCG cybercafe finals.

We defeated 2 clan, Team75 and Frost.

And yes, my hair was horrible.. the headphones did something to it.
    From Left to Right:

Thanks dear for coming to support me. hee

The Battle against SMR, the semiFinals. Early in the morning at 10am.

Fighting for 3rd placing! We ended up in 4th position. Well done XtC!

And so it was soo much fun being the commander.
All kinds of tactics and put into practice....
Sometimes it does help being in the army,
But most of it is pure brute force with some deception.
I'd like to thank these great gamers of immense reputation for helping us out.

Brian aka Stryker, leader of previous xF Clan,

Ecalyte, previous coach of Rf, events manager at GXL/Singtel,

[GBR] Squall, leader of Singapore's winner of WCG 2004,

And to all those who trusted me in battle, Xtreme Chaotix Team Genesis!

    It is not the end.
We'll be back in the Open Catogory.

    KINGDOM OF KNIGHTS I

Here I challenge those who study in the National University of Singapore.
A riddle exist revolving around the Science faculty.
Would the words you see, spell out the answer you seek?
Would the name of the princess and the colour of the key be seen?
Take a chance, try very hard and see where this riddle shall bring you to.

    A goddess fights fire today,
A cold breath escaped from her lips.
Freezing all that stands in her way.
    In India
    they worship her and weep.
She wrote the first letter to leave a trace,
The essence of it - her hidden name.

    LT31 recedes in this place
The second number seen by the bats,
Would reveal the letter in its true form,
Count the number in the Language it spells.

Legend talks of an ancient place,
Made of mother’s love and Jamaican descent,
A place where the Shadows engulf the trees,
Thrones a Princess unnoticed by thee.

The birds chirps her name, Flies about her perfect shape
The Mathematical perfection reflected in such,
The symmetry unreal and physically impossible,
    Represented with these numbers 227.

The Guardians watch under this place,
A common ground for the Legends of Science,
Seek for her the Elf between the Metal Brothers,
And reveal the rainbow that sits on her crown.

That was one of the 3 riddles one must solve to win the game,
That I created for SCAMP05, part of the night games.
Those who study in NUS, are those who may understand,
What the answer is, the answer that many cannot comprehend.

The rest of the past week was spent in Europe!
A family trip that lasted 9 days in total!
Came back left sick and weak from some wierd virus thingie,
In the end missed SCAMP, I was so tormented not going...
But though I was not there, my spirit lives on...
In the games the freshies played, in the Talentnight they danced.
Sure I could have been the prince who ran,
Or even the Ghost that scares and makes one cry.
But my health was not ready for such...
And thus I couldnt go, that's the reason why.

Now here's what happened in those better days.
Where I felt so lonely, my dear at home waiting...
Seeing older couples loving and reloving,
made me envious and feel worse, hoping to go home.
A pictures spells a thousand words so it seems,
But i'm just lazy, so just relax and see....

    Switzerland Airport. Singapore's... MUCH better.

After touchdown, sightseeing... Switzerland, big place.

Zurich, the place where Einstein did... something.

Such a peaceful place, people stroll they dont rush.

Another town... cant' remember the place

I am Sailing... I am Sailing...

People there love chocolate. It's HUGE. Look at the size of ferraro!!!

God always shows me great works..

    Another farden thingie..

Above the clouds, in the mountains...

Me at mountain 1, wearing 2 layers of clothing..

me at mountain 3 wearing 4 layers of clothing. (Mountain 2 was video taped)

My first time snowboarding. It's tiring... absolutely breathless tying to get up

It's so bright you cant open ur eyes AND the snow can reflect the sun to sunburn you.

inside the mountain in ice palace. It's colder inside the mountain than outside

Finally leaving the damn place. no more mountains for me.

The Last sightseeing spot, a River with Mark from NUS arts
Finally, the last thing i can do, "give" this flower to my dear.

    Switzerland was fine.
Full of wonderful scenary, flashy cars and $13.50 SGD Mcdonald extra value meals.
But, I've had enough of it. Don't think I'll ever go back.
Behind the hotels are sleezy pros stalking the alleys,
and the population density is especially low.
But the people are incredibly nice and friendly,
and one will never find ANY litter on the floor.
But, other than the mountains, there's nothing much.
Yes, i missed the Para gliding experience, and yes I didnt try the snow sled thing,
But hey, Switzerland's more for the honeymooners and Jap-elders...
As for me, perhaps when I'm married, yeah i'll go visit again...
Then I'll slide down the snow again at Jyungfrau with the dustbin cover thing

Answer to Riddle I : Sherrie, Blue Key

  • "Time flew in an instant,
So long have i waited to update.
Alas distractions and busy schedules fill my life,
Only to leave me time to delay.
But now I'm back to a certain extent,
    still busy always somehow someway.
Be it Gaming, Sports, Work or play,
This is my life, faithfully following God's way"

I INTENDED TO UPDATE THIS ON MAY 17th

I can't possibly remember everything that i meant to write in the past...
But i did get the pictures ready.
so... Let that pictures do the talking!

    A cage...

    A house in a cage...

    A rabbit in a Taxi.

This is the epic story of our Daughter.
The story of owning our first real pet.
At a cost of $260 for her, it was a worthwhile price to pay.
What you're about to see, may change your life.
She is - Yuri, our beloved netherland dwarf bunny.
That was 1.5 months old Yuri.
    Then as she grows....
    She became.. bigger.

    from this...

to this.. in just 10 days!

And thus from the statue like bunny she was,
The one that didnt run alot and didnt eat much..
She became a lightning fast, crazy jumper and fun bunny.
So much so, my mum's firey anger subsides the moment she sees Yuri.
This... had been the answer I had been desperately seeking.

Yuri eats Timothy Hay and Pellets...

She drinks potable water (not from the tap)..

Her "bed" which is actually her Hay tray...

    That's Yuri!
And Yuri in Japanese means Lily...
Me and my dear just thought it sounded suitable.
    And now, everyone loves Yuri!
Case proven : Rabbits make lovely pets...
They dont bark, their shit is small and manageable,
dwarf rabbits are lively, and can be trained...
    heee

Aside from the bunny, something else...
I've been taking part time jobs!
Or rather, i've been given the chance to do many calafares!
It was a great opportunity to see how things behind the scenes are like.
I realized that work starts at unusual hours.
Like for night scenes, 12am onwards!
So that there will be less vehicles around perhaps?
and for the MRT scene we had to wait till the service stopped at 11.45!
    But it was great fun.
Got to see popular actresses/actors, Ivy Lee, Edmund Chen, etc...
So if you look hard enough in the new serials coming up,
You'll see me as failed genetically modified human! haha...

Lizzy's sister taking our pic! haha that's the director at the end.

For some extras, they just had to pretend they were on the train. they did it well.

And there's the booster mic and stuff. Looks like alot of pple? Nah, just camera trick

Mediacorp Radiogate.. where we had make up to become...

Corpses. Failed genetically modified humans left dead...

Next up... the REAL Blog Entry.
  • "Give me 3 months of no meaning,
And I shall experience 3 years of waiting.
With so much time, so much can be done!
The bad days of Halflife 2 shall be relived,
The movies I missed I shall watch,
The games I stopped I will continue,
And the Piano I left, will be rekindled.

All that was lost, now shall be renewed

    Yet, Though freedom seems near,
    When the Firey Dragon returns,
Fire, Ash and dust fills the atmosphere.
Forcing all form of life to find the nearest source of solice.
Alas, when the devastation had been done,
I would then return to a semi-state of freedom."

    The first Signs of Liberty...

It all began with the unpacking of my personal room..
Maybe I should have named my room in PGP.
now that it's gone, because it is room K i shall name it...
"Kingdom" - So that i shall remember it as the room where..
I felt like a King. wahaha...

It looks so... empty. I will miss u Room K. Brought me much memories.

and of course with the liberty to do anything I want at this age,
I can do so much more! Dating with my dear is more fun now!
At least now we go to all kinds of places together, enjoying each other's company.
We were quite keen on looking for a trip to Japan,
So we've been going round to check out deals and go shopping together!

    Takashimaya's sports shop with her..

went to collect my new passport with her...

After a movie at Suntec, strolling in Sky garden..

And aside from romantic rendevous with her,
I had a great time exploring eateries with my parents too!
For mother's day, we went to one of Singapore's best Tepanyaki place...
    Goodwood hotel - Shima
It has excellent ambiance, great food...
not very good server though, but good skills...
But the price... is ridiculously high too
You've gotta reserve to get a place there too... haha
Expect 3 digit set meals there!

At first it was empty... then the place suddenly became full.

They gave 6 slices of Salmon Sashimi as an Appetizer. gosh...

Just when u thought The lobster shell would be thrown away,
    they served lobster sake soup...

And though it seems i'll be doing nothing for 3 months,
I'll actually be very busy preparing for Science Camp 05!
It'll be a blast! With loads of programmes that... no other camp shall have.
And with an awesome committee of people, I won't be surprised it'll be awesome.
Additionally, Me and Kim moh had volunteered to help Junxiong...
In the quest to cause disturbing nights on Fright Night.
Beware to all! It shall contain real life elements of Silent Hill. mwahaha
And yes, My schedule's packing all the way from no till SCAMP.

The assitant director and marketing gal... Powerpuff girls man.

The main boss! And the rest of the comm!

Thanks Sylvia to hosting us for this meeting!

Looks like I've got loads of meetings coming up!
Next up... visit to LT25 for decorations + OCC and canvassing!

The second form of Redeption: HL2

In the past even with my new computer,
This game would refuse to seek peace with me.
Often playing with my feelings it brings me to that climatic height,
only to introduce that familiar beep that brings me a screen with the word "error"
Even more frustrating was the list of errors HL2 had in those earlier days.
The world feels my pain as countless of flash animations were dedicated to that "horror"
Now, it seems that HL2 had become more obedient to me.
Perhaps the only thing that still disturbs me is...
The silent treatment she shows me when a msn message comes up,
And the fact that she forces my whole PC to shutdown when i type quit in the console.
That aside, I'm grateful for playing the game...

The Famous Suit of Gorden Freeman

Forgot her name, but she actually saves me from the baddies.

The pic looks nice, but when u're IN it, u'll marvel at the beauty.

Check out the detail man, all ingame shots!

That big metal thing, is that girl's pet dog...

and that's one of the labs. The computer screens look convincing!

And that's all for the pictures,
shall not flood my blog with all of them.
After all, it's just a game! but it's a wonderful game.
Supposedly obeying all the laws of classical physics!
Woohoo... What a beautiful Engine Sierra had made

  • "Another 3 months had already gone by again,
Leaving me happy, leaving me in pain.

For there's so much for me to do,

For me to do things, for me to see you.

By far books and knowledge is all I've learnt,

Lacking in my daily dose of entertainment.

Thus after all this I shall go...

Away to have fun thro and fro!

Yet after this time, so many things had happened.

Too many for all to understand and see.

My dear friends and blog i may have not spoken to,

today all shall be revealed, in this time, all about me"

Me in my hostel room looking drained... ugh

Life on the 29th of April 2005 ~

I turned to look at my exam schedule and sighed as i saw this...
    Calculus.
I had an exam on my birthday.
And though me parents kept asking me about celebrations,
I told them its alright not to celebrate for 1 year.
they asked me what i wanted for my birthday present too, but i couldn't think of anything.
*Except for removing the anger/temper/volcano curse on my mum*
So there i was in PGP right after my calculus paper, enjoying and relaxing in my own space.
Thanks to all who smsed me right after 12am on thursday night!
It's really sweet to know there are people who remember! hee

Then in the evening, my dear appeared with a Birthday cake and my present!
To be honest, seeing her after so long was more than enough as a present.
Really missed seeing her really do...
And so there I was wondering what that big thing was.
I had a hunch it was going to be a huge powerpuff girl,
as we used to joke about it... but instead it was something that touched me.
A long time ago, I made puzzles for people as presents.
But this time, I was at the receiving end. And boy it felt really good.

Kingdom Hearts! My Mother would NEVER buy me this.
Only my dear would know me best! heee
And it's a new design! Never seen it thus far before..

Following that was the Swensen's Birthday cake!
Have a picture of it in my digital camerea tho..
It's a 3 flavour layered, Winnie the Pooh Ice cream cake!
*In total accordance to my Kingdom Hearts puzzle*
haha it tastes sinful! Sweet and nice! Shared it with my cluster mates too..
Not to mention receiving an sms from Qui Xun,
that we couldnt resist but take the last piece off the fridge...

    Thanks my dear~!

The following Sunday my parents decided to give me a treat,
at a Japanese restaurant at Riverview Hotel.
Ever since I was young, I loved TEPANYAKI.
And the best i ever had was this restaurant at Marina Square.
It was great fun to watch and hear the sizzles and skills displayed right before ur eyes.
And I loved the food there. That was the beginning of my Japanese food experience!
Alas, the shop shifted or closed, making it a childhood memory having dinner there.
Thus for my birthday my parents sourced a Jap restaurant with tepanyaki.
    However, the food tasted bad.
The presentation was absolutely not authentic,
and the tepanyaki preparations were... just not there.
Yet, it's actually the company that makes a good meal.

And so this year I can't think of anything to have for my Bday.
But I did make a birthday wish though
Hope that it shall come true someday!
    22 years old. Wow.

Life in NUS Science Faculty Majoring in Physics...

Today, someone on msn asked me to read something off the blog of another.
And to my surprise the content was primarily concerned with the writer's opinion that..
Science faculty members look ugly, have no life and are nerds.
Number of "cute chicks" and "handsome guys" are... minimal.
Perhaps in the eyes of another that's what that individual experienced.
However, how I see it is totally the reverse!

First and foremost, I happen to know many beautiful girls and hunks in Science.
And most of them are decent looking!
It's just probably that most of them dont hang around school.
They're probably at Sentosa playing volleyball,
At a coffee-shop near by having drinks with pals,
Or more often than not, at home gaming or out Shopping with the gals at Taka.
One must be cautious to note that, the rest are all at their halls playing games!
In general, I've witnessed a great number of good looking people in the faculty.
And in other faculties that had been unjustly stereotyped as well.

Dispite all this, the life here isnt just abt looking good and such.
The work is hazardous and radioactive at toxic levels.
If u were like me, a normal human with average intellects,
then U'd be like me suffering with every test question posed.
However if u belong to the evolutionary human species, it should be a breeze for u.
I've seen many who are naturally talented at problem solving..
And a great number of us admire such a gift!
The fact is, NUS life is no pushover.. and the common exchange student would say...
"Why do NUS students so stressed up? It's so carefree at my college"

Life living away from home, by myself...

To myself when i read this years in the future...
    Can u remember mum's nagging?
Or the number of times you had to stop playing ur piano while u're engrossed?
How about the days when Mum would take away ur Saturn and hide it.
Or the times she scolded u upside down left right centre because it wasnt ur fault she dropped her food on the table.
Life in Prince George Park.. has none of that.

Gundam Seed Destiny. A nice sequel that captivated me with its prequel.

It's wonderful and simply so carefree living away!
I can play CS or my PS2 whenever i want.
Watch TV and eat sweet delight whenever i want.
Fall onto my bed and read comics whenever i want.
And take my guitar out to play whenever i want.
Furthermore, with the high bandwidth here, watching anime is an ease!
Found myself watching loads of anime and stuff shared among friends!
All those 6 statements seem to contradict my life in NUS statements,
but none the less, its like a chalet at a condominium man.

The greater joy is that, by staying here, I got to meet and know great people!
Friends and overseas students that had enriched me about their culture and lifestyle,
Professionals who has links to people that I could need help from in the future....
And wonderful wonderful neighbours who share their food and have meals with me.
Of course staying alone has other great advantages....
like overhearing whatever my neighbour's saying to his mother on the phone.
Or waking up looking like... like... crap but no one can see u.
And even hearing a live performance of my neighbour's Karoke.

    Life during exams...

During the exam period, everything's supposed to be a huge big stressed mass of crap.
BUT somehow I didnt feel that stressed at all.
Of course the above sentence contradicts the fact that i almost died on 2 of the 5 papers.
But anyway, somehow this semester felt different.
Perhaps it's because i started my revision a little earlier than most people.
But for someone like me, my failing memory doesnt make that scenario fully beneficial.
Instead, it made me forget most of my revision i've started on much earlier.
Think the real reason why this semester exams feel better is because of Him.
I prayed to the Lord each time saying this one sentence.
"Lord Jesus, just stand by my side during my exams and I'll definitely be fine"
And true enough I could feel his presence, giving me assurance...

A tactic I made for my CS Team... looks complicated huh? haha

But that's life during the exams.
    What about studying or preparation?
The Counter-strike online community can vouch that U|t!ma X had been playing everyday.
And the DotA community in NUS can also vouch that i've been online most of the time.
    Something's very wrong.
I've been playing games, making movie clips, thinking of stratedgies and watching AFV.
    But hey, it's all good!
If Michael Yudistara can play everyday during study week because he studies everyday,
I'd rather follow his path man.
Just tells me that being consistent in work is much better than last minute studying.

Life as an ordinary slacker at home...

I spent the longest time at home in a long time.
    3 days 2 night.
And there I had the time to borrow all the movies i missed from Video EZ.
Borrowed Resident Evil II, Cellular and Sky Captain.
And of course the awesome movie Fighter in the Wing for dear to watch...
Sky captain was a let down, where Cellular was indeed thrilling!
Aside from all these stuff I had the time to take a stroll around the neighbourhood and all..
Looking at people, cool houses and...

    Cute Puppies! Gosh I want!

The rest of the time I was reading *can u believei it* a book
It's a book that explains clearly the misconceptions the "Da Vini Code" had implied.
While the first few pages of that famous book by Dan Brown seems to show,
"Accurate depictions to references, artworks and stuff"
After reading this book, one will realise it's all a big huge bluff.
    Or rather,
it was the author's idea to make it seem like his content was based on true history.

If u have read the Da Vinci Code, please read this too.

It was this book that created controversy and confusion
among those who do not know Chirst!
Some actually believed the Merovincian bloodline, Mary Magdelene crap.
Not to mention the hidden codes and papers of some stashed away documents that the..
    "Priory of Sion" has.
If one wants to know the true historical content as to,
where did the Priory of Sion / Knight's templar come from?
Mary Magdelene stuff... and Da vinci's art work information,
    then u gotta read this.
all the content had been verified accordingly to other documents and museums.
A simple example is that in the book, the olymipics was 5 rings that
were supposed to represent Venus, the feminine goddess crap.
Well in actuall fact, the 5 rings were symbols of the human spirit.
Unfortunately, my human brain could not remember.
Go buy! $12.50 SGD! Worth ur $$$

And finally in a few days I'll be shifting EVERYTHING back home...

Well, very soon I shall have to kiss my room in PGP goodbye.

The term's ending and I'll be finishing my first year in NUS!

And ahead of that it's a 3 months break!

Going to Europe! and maybe Japan!

It's going to be fun filled with CS competitions, WCG, SCAMP 05 and much more!

    Woohoo... i feel.. liberated!

    Thank you God!
